Mr. Olumide Sofowora, SAN obtained an LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University of Lagos Nigeria in 1981 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982. He attained the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2013. In 1998 he became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators U.K. and a Chartered Arbitrator in 2017.

He has been Chairman, member Arbitral Panel, Sole Arbitrator and Counsel in several domestic and international Arbitrations in the areas of Admiralty & Maritime Law, Insurance, Marine Insurance, Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Telecommunications, Intellectual Property and Construction. He is an Accredited Faculty Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators U.K., a member Panel of Neutrals of the Lagos Court of Arbitration and the Lagos Multidoor Court House.
