Mr. Abdul Mohammed, SAN is a partner in the law firm of Madyan Legal Consult, situate in Abuja. Mr. Abdul studied law at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, [LL.B.] graduating with Second Class Upper Division in 2005, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School Bwari Abuja, 2006 where he obtained his BL with Second Class Upper Division in 2006. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 2006, He obtained his Masters with specialization in Taxation in 2015.
Mr. Abdul Mohammed is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Society of International Law, the International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). Mr. Abdul understands and speaks three languages which includes English, Hausa and Basic Yoruba. Mr. Abdul’s experience ranges from dispute resolution, corporate commercial advisory and intellectual property registration and protection. Pre and Post Election litigations.
Mr. Abdul has represented several clients, prominent amongst them are Standard Chartered Bank Limited, Guarantee Trust Bank Plc in cases pertaining to banker/customer relationship, Garnishee Proceedings. Mr. Abdul has handled several high profile international arbitration cases. In the field of Human rights, Mr. Abdul was issued with a United States Congressional Award for the protection of freedom of the press in 2015. Abdul Mohammed was appointed a Notary Public for Nigeria by the Chief Justice of Nigeria in September 2014.
He was admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) 2019, and conferred with the Rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee on the 13th November, 2020
