Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is a status of distinction that may be conferred on legal practitioners in Nigeria of not less than ten years’ standing and who have distinguished themselves as advocates and have contributed to the development of the legal profession in Nigeria. It is a privilege that is awarded as a mark of excellence to members of the legal profession. This title is modelled after the Queen’s Counsel rank in England

Only Legal Practitioners awarded the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria are eligible to attend the BOSAN meetings
